About the position

The Social Worker III applies principles of Social Work and other behavioral health practices to provide patients and families with assessment, interventions, support, advocacy and case management as a primary provider and/or as ancillary support to the primary medical provider. In all departments, practices as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, in the provision of clinical intervention and support to patients and families. The Social Worker III assesses, develops treatment plans, and intervenes to address the needs identified in the assessment and by the team. Utilizes knowledge of culture, age and developmental stages to develop treatment plans and provide interventions, either as an independent practitioner or as a member of a clinical team. Takes lead to model professional guidance and integrity for the programs and division at large. This is exemplified by providing support and debriefing to RCHSD staff as needed. Must provide supervision to interns and unlicensed staff. Will provide ongoing education and training to SW I and SW II. Assist leadership in program development and quality improvement initiatives to support the development of programs, the continuum of care to the children/teens and families across all RCHSD programs.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise interns and unlicensed staff.
  • Provide ongoing education and training to SW I and SW II.
  • Assist leadership in program development and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a field related to the position.
  • 2 years of experience required post licensure.
  • Licensed in California as LCSW, LMFT, LPCC, or Psychologist.
  • CA driver's license and proof of auto insurance, if applicable.
  • 3 years of experience in a pediatric environment; assessment and treatment of children and adolescents required.
  • Must maintain a minimum of .9 FTE.
  • Completion of Clinical Supervision training in California required.
  • Certification or advanced training in evidence-based practices specific to the needs of the population served (TFCBT, PCIT, CPP) required.
  • Training in SI Prevention/Means Assessment and Safety planning required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Minimum 3 years clinical supervision experience.
  • Certified Trainer in evidence-based practice.
