About the position
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing support and advocacy for individuals and families in need, particularly in areas related to crisis management, child welfare, and behavioral health. This role requires a strong commitment to social justice and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to promote positive outcomes for clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Provide crisis intervention and management services to individuals facing immediate challenges.
- Offer counseling and support services utilizing techniques such as motivational interviewing.
- Mentor clients in developing coping strategies and life skills.
- Collaborate with community resources, including Section 8 housing programs, to facilitate access to necessary services.
- Supervise case management activities and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
- Advocate for children's rights and welfare within the child welfare system.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress in accordance with agency guidelines.
Requirements
- A degree in Social Work or a related field is required.
- Previous experience in crisis intervention, behavioral health, or childcare is preferred.
- Skills in mentoring, supervising, and working within child welfare systems are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with community resources and programs that support social work initiatives is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse populations are essential.
