About the position

The Social Worker MS - Behavioral Health position at Telecare Corporation involves providing clinical and casework services to individuals with severe mental illness under the supervision of a licensed clinician. The role focuses on person-centered recovery planning, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and the implementation of therapeutic interventions. This part-time position is essential in supporting the recovery and well-being of members served at the Heritage Psychiatric Health Facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and casework services to members served and their natural supports.
• Implement direct care in accordance with established policies and standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams to design and evaluate Recovery Plans.
• Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with members served under clinical supervision.
• Coordinate ongoing treatment and ensure provision of needed clinical services.
• Provide individual and group therapy and document treatment thoroughly.
• Participate in discharge planning and link members to community services.
• Actively engage in multidisciplinary team meetings and recovery planning meetings.
• Demonstrate knowledge of de-escalation techniques and crisis management.
• Assist with restraint of members served in the event of assaultive behavior.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited graduate school and working towards licensure.
• One year of direct service experience with individuals with severe mental illness in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
• Criminal justice clearance and education verification.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment.
