About the position
This is a full-time clinical position focused on providing direct billable clinical work to evaluate and treat child and adolescent mood, behavioral, and anxiety disorders. The role involves working within a multi-disciplinary team, primarily serving youth aged 5-21 with disruptive behavior disorders, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. The position requires advanced training in evidence-based psychotherapies and the ability to engage in educational activities for students and staff.
Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health assessments and provide evidence-based psychotherapy (e.g., CBT, DBT) to at-risk youth and their families.
- Evaluate and record progress towards treatment goals, collaborating with the patient's care team.
- Participate in weekly social work case consultations, maintaining accurate records and making concise case presentations.
- Provide brief therapeutic interventions, psychoeducation, safety planning, and grief counseling.
- Network with teachers and school staff for specialty consultation.
- Deliver mental health education to the targeted population.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work from an accredited institution.
- Current license to practice social work in the State of Michigan.
- Advanced training in CBT, DBT, or IPT with at least 6 months of supervised clinical experience.
Nice-to-haves

- Experience with electronic health records and maintaining clinical documentation.
