About the position

The Social Worker position at Lakeside Educational Network is a full-time role focused on providing mental health support to students within a school setting. The Social Worker acts as a vital link between students, families, and the school community, addressing social, emotional, and life adjustment issues to promote academic and social success. This role involves direct and indirect services, crisis response, and collaboration with school personnel and families.

Responsibilities

• Assess students' needs as they relate to educational goals, future planning, and available services.
• Provide students with psychoeducational and other relevant resources.
• Be a liaison and maintain contact with parents/guardians regarding students' progress and provide/deliver resources and information as needed.
• Work with identified school personnel to gather essential and relevant student and family information.
• Be an active member of the Tragic Event Response Team (TERT) and assist with crisis response as needed.
• Provide updates regarding students' progress to school district personnel as directed and as needed.
• Maintain case records.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work.
• Holds or is pursuing a license as a mental health care professional, i.e., LSW or LCSW.
• Compassionate and caring of students and families.
• Comfortable with building personal relationships and dedicated to helping others.
• Self-directed, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
• Excellent time management skills; organized and able to prioritize.
• Able to organize and manage files, schedules, dates, and information.
