About the position
FitSport Kinetics is seeking an experienced Softball Coach to work with youth and high school athletes, focusing on skill development for players aged 7 to 17. The role involves coaching in various settings, including Academy sessions, pitching, catching, and hitting clinics, as well as private instruction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in softball, particularly as a player and coach, and will be committed to fostering a positive and ethical coaching environment.
Responsibilities
- Coach youth and high school athletes in softball skills and techniques.
- Conduct pitching, catching, and hitting clinics.
- Provide private 1-1 instruction to athletes.
- Support the affiliated travel ball program with additional coaching responsibilities if desired.
- Maintain a positive coaching style and uphold high ethical standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in sports coaching, specifically softball.
- Played at a four-year college program with distinction.
- Pass a Livescan fingerprinting background check.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience coaching pitchers and catchers.
- Passion for working with youth and young adults.
