About the position
The Softgoods Sales position at Sturtevant's is a seasonal role focused on providing exceptional customer service while selling clothing and accessory items. The role involves engaging with customers to understand their needs, merchandising products effectively, and assisting with inventory control to maximize profitability. Responsibilities
- Greet all customers in the store
- Develop a rapport with customers through conversation to understand their needs
- Build trust with customers through product knowledge and accurate information delivery
- Close sales successfully
- Expand sales by demonstrating knowledge of accessory and related products or warranty agreements as appropriate
- Operate the cash register to complete sales
- Merchandise the store by stocking shelves, counters, or tables with products
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Friendly, outgoing personality comfortable working with people
- Passion for skiing or snowboarding with some knowledge of the sport
- Basic computer skills
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Flexibility in schedule to accommodate ski time, including working split shifts, nights, holidays, and weekends
- Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift 25 pounds
