About the position

The Software and Systems Architect position at Leidos involves supporting the Threat Systems Development Branch within the Aerospace Systems Group. This role focuses on systems architecture and development for advanced modeling systems that deliver critical information to customers. The architect will be responsible for maintaining common libraries, developing and testing software components, and managing software versioning throughout the development and release cycles.

Responsibilities

• Work with and maintain common libraries across multiple repositories.
• Develop, test, and document critical software components and in-house tools.
• Manage software versioning during codebase development and release cycles.
• Participate in a sprint-based workflow and routine review sessions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in software development.
• Experience with C++, C# .NET Development.
• Background in software testing and analysis from education.
• Experience with ATLASSIAN tools (Bitbucket, Confluence, JIRA) and Git.
• Strong technical communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Radar/Signal Processing principles.
• Knowledge of Object Oriented Programming and SOLID Design Principles.
• Experience with Technical Documentation.
• Familiarity with WIN32 and LINUX OS.
• Experience with Wireshark.
