About the position

The Software Application Architect (.Net, GCP) role at Sabre involves leading the architecture and design of complex software systems within the Sabre Hospitality Solutions unit. This position focuses on creating innovative technology solutions that enhance the travel industry, particularly in hotel management and guest experience. The architect will be responsible for establishing long-term architectural strategies, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and driving the adoption of new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, drive, and own the architecture and design of complex software systems in Sabre Hospitality Solutions.
• Architect, design, and implement new components and sub-systems.
• Envision and develop the long-term architectural strategy with an emphasis on reusable components.
• Establish structures and processes to ensure high quality, reliability, and extensibility of deliverables.
• Act as a technical and operational leader with a focus on microservices and cloud service development.
• Be accountable for system design, evolution, quality, performance, scaling, and availability.
• Actively develop parts of the systems as needed.
• Review and redesign existing system architectures when necessary.
• Deliver technical training within the engineering organization.
• Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to define roadmaps and business directions.
• Diagnose system failures in production and work with technical staff to address root causes.
• Drive code and design reviews and architectural governance for components.
• Set directional paths for technology stack adoption to solve business problems.
• Represent multiple technology domains internally and Sabre in external technical forums.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of .NET framework and GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
• Strong experience in microservices and distributed systems architecture.
• Proven ability to design and implement scalable and reliable software systems.
• Experience in leading technical teams and delivering high-quality software solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose system failures.

Nice-to-haves
