About the position

The Software Application Developer at OMT-Veyhl is responsible for designing and coding functional programs, reports, and applications using various tools including MS Visual Studio, Power BI, and C#. This role involves collaborating with the IT team to create operational programs and dashboards, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the maintenance and support of company services and systems. The developer will also assist in strategic planning and adherence to IT policies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and code functional programs, reports, and applications using MS Visual Studio, Power BI, C#, and other tools.
  • Collaborate with the IT Team to create accurate operational programs, dashboards, reports, and applications within the allotted timeline.
  • Perform appropriate testing before release.
  • Troubleshoot and debug programs, applications, and reports.
  • Resolve help desk issues for team members.
  • Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update, and add new features.
  • Develop technical documents to accurately represent application design and code.
  • Provide back-up and/or after-hours support for other IT Team members.
  • Assist the IT Team in the development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrade, and support of company services and systems.
  • Collaborate with project leaders to determine scope, priority, budget, and vision; track project status and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Collaborate in the strategic information technology plan, processes, and solutions.
  • Create, implement, and adhere to IT policies and procedures, including those for computer usage, security, and disaster recovery.
  • Assist in research on emerging technology solutions and make recommendations to customers and/or management.
  • Assist with security management of the network, systems, and enterprise information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science or related field.
  • Three to five years of experience working in a related field.
  • Ability to program using a variety of programming languages.
  • Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles.
  • Experience with ERP/inventory control systems.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical skills required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional time management skills.
  • Thorough working knowledge of information technology policies, processes, and procedures.
  • Extensive technical knowledge relating to information technology.
  • Adept in using ERP and Windows-based tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Strong planning skills required.
  • Team player with a constructive and respectful attitude.
