About the position

GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Software Application Developer to join our team. This position is full-time and will support the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, NM in a hybrid capacity; the selected candidate will work remotely, when able, and on-site, as needed. As a Software Application Developer, you will be an integral part of the PSS-1 Software Systems Development (SSD) Team, contributing to the development of software tools that assist organizations in meeting their mission objectives. You will be responsible for supporting the development of the new F.O.R.G.E. web application, ensuring that it meets the needs of the users and adheres to the highest standards of quality and performance. In this role, you will be expected to adhere to the SCRUM Framework for software development, collaborating closely with team members to deliver effective solutions in a timely manner. Your contributions will directly impact the success of the projects and the overall mission of the laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Support the PSS-1 Software Systems Development (SSD) Team as a Software Developer.
• Develop software tools to assist organizations in meeting mission objectives.
• Contribute to the development of the new F.O.R.G.E. web application.
• Adhere to the SCRUM Framework for software development.

Requirements

• Full-time availability for the position.
• Experience in software development, particularly in a team environment.
• Familiarity with SCRUM Framework and agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in programming languages relevant to software application development.
