The Business Technology Go-To-Market team plays a crucial role in driving growth and revenue goals for Workday. This team collaborates closely with business partners to enhance customer and employee experiences. The GTM Platform team is responsible for managing operations, release engineering, platform health, and risk and compliance. They also work with cross-functional teams to support various tools, including Okta and Snaplogic, as well as monitoring tools like New Relic and Splunk. In this role, you will leverage your extensive Salesforce experience to configure and develop custom Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning code, particularly in the areas of Service and Sales Cloud. You will be expected to design Salesforce solutions following best practices, debug complex code, and propose improvements. Your expertise in Heroku development, CI/CD tools, and Agile Scrum methodologies will be essential as you manage multiple initiatives and collaborate with technical teams, business stakeholders, and QA personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and develop custom Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning code in Service and Sales Cloud.
  • Design Salesforce solutions following best practices and debug complex code.
  • Manage, track, and report progress for multiple initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and lead a team of developers and QA.
  • Perform ongoing refactoring of code and deliver continuous improvement.
  • Create, maintain, and upgrade documentation, ensuring standardization and process improvement.

Requirements

  • 6-8 years of hands-on Salesforce experience in configuring and developing custom Apex/Visualforce/Lightning code.
  • Expertise in Object Oriented design methodologies and building custom framework solutions.
  • Experience with Heroku development and upgrades.
  • Proficient in Salesforce technologies including Apex, VisualForce, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce Integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of Salesforce security standards and best practices.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1-2 years' experience developing with Lightning Experience on an Agile Scrum project delivered under Continuous Delivery/DevOps.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools and CI/CD implementation best practices.
