About the position

The Software Application Researcher at ARSIEM Corporation will work independently to identify flaws in software and software architecture design, supporting government clients in Annapolis Junction, Maryland. This role involves documenting research, writing code in various programming languages, and understanding distributed architectures and protocol analysis. The position requires a strong background in software development and a commitment to self-driven research tasks.

Responsibilities

• Identify flaws in software and software architecture design.
• Document research with detail.
• Write code in C, Python, and Assembly to demonstrate control over identified flaws.
• Understand distributed architectures and protocol analysis between disparate components.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 10 years, or a Bachelor's degree with 12 years of experience in computer science, information systems, or network engineering.
• Minimum 12 years of programming experience in Assembly, C, C++, Java, Perl, or Python.
• Extensive experience with debuggers (WinDBG, GDB, ADB, BDI, etc.).
• Strong development experience in C, Python, and Assembly.
• Expert knowledge of UNIX and low-level Windows internals.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Software-as-a-Service architectures.
• Understanding of OS Internals (any major OS).
• Experience with dynamic and static binary analysis, fuzzing techniques, and source code auditing.
