About the position

The Software Application Researcher at FiveTwelve LLC is responsible for researching software across all platforms to identify vulnerabilities. This role requires independent work to uncover flaws in software, utilizing the latest techniques in vulnerability research while adhering to best practices. The candidate must be detail-oriented, particularly in documenting research findings, and will often need to write code in C, Python, and Assembly to demonstrate control over identified flaws.

Responsibilities

• Research software across all platforms to identify vulnerabilities.
• Work independently to uncover flaws in software.

• Write code in C, Python, and Assembly to demonstrate control over vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Understanding of OS Internals (any major OS)
• Extensive experience with debuggers (WinDBG, GDB, ADB, BDI, etc.)
• Experience with dynamic and static binary analysis, fuzzing techniques, and source code auditing
• Strong C, Python, and ASM development experience
• Demonstrated ability to self-drive research tasking
