About the position

The Software Applications Engineer at MC Machinery Systems, Inc. is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting manufacturing software control systems for Mitsubishi fabrication equipment. This role involves managing the entire project lifecycle, from requirement analysis to deployment and support, while providing technical support to customers and collaborating with software development teams.

Responsibilities

• Support Pre and post-sales technical support
• Demonstrate software products to potential and existing customers
• Analyze customer requirements and design software solutions to meet those requirements
• Maintain clear communications with customers and software development partners
• Test new software builds to ensure functionality, reliability, and performance
• Provide expert level support to factory technicians and process engineers
• Collaborate with the software development team to drive core product growth
• Develop new software solutions for customers and industry partners
• Create and present technical training curriculums
• Travel to customer and industry partner facilities for sales support and technical training sessions
• Cultivate professional business relationships with developers and customers
• Other duties as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years working experience in Software design and Development
• Experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Programming
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows platform using C#, C++, and .NET Framework
• 3+ years of experience in Factory Automation with development and support of mission-critical systems
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Basic understanding of Industrial CNC machines and Industrial processes
• Efficient in the use of AutoCAD, SolidWorks or related design suites
• Analytical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Tolerance of ambiguity and self-motivation
• Ability to operate a motor vehicle and possession of a valid Driver's License
