About the position

The Software Applications Engineer role at TEL involves providing technical support for complex electro/mechanical equipment and software systems. The engineer will collaborate with field engineers, technicians, and customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring effective communication and training on software technologies. This position is essential for maintaining the functionality of software systems and supporting engineering teams in project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to field engineers and technicians diagnosing and troubleshooting complex equipment and software.
• Respond to unresolved issues from first-line product support.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and customers to gather and understand software requirements.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot software issues in a highly technical environment.
• Provide technical information and assistance regarding software systems and modifications.
• Maintain communication with engineering teams and customers through meetings and presentations.
• Provide training on current and new product technology and software troubleshooting.

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or IT.
• Experience delivering end-to-end projects independently.
• Experience working collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, or Python.
• Experience with Windows Server OS installation and setup.
• Knowledge of computer networking, setup, and troubleshooting.
• Experience configuring Windows OS security and understanding security concepts.
• Experience with PC/server configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with database management and development (SQL Server, Oracle).
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
• Experience with virtual machine setup and management (Hyper-V, VMWare).
