About the position

The Software Applications Tester/Requirements Analyst at Leidos is responsible for both manual and automated testing of software applications, as well as gathering and refining project requirements. This role supports multiple IT projects and requires a strong understanding of testing methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The successful candidate will work closely with customers and stakeholders to ensure that requirements are clearly communicated and met throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium Web Driver.
  • Test browser-based/web applications across various testing phases including exploratory, smoke, functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Identify regression test candidates for automation and automate those test cases.
  • Execute accessibility compliance tests and document results.
  • Report, track, validate, and close defects in the testing process.
  • Design test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on requirements and design documents.
  • Gather and refine project requirements in collaboration with the customer and stakeholders.
  • Liaise between developers and customers to ensure clear communication of requirements.
  • Record and track interactions in JIRA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience, or 12+ years of work experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph Clearance.
  • Formal test background and experience with test automation methodologies.
  • Experience maintaining and configuring Linux and Windows workstations for test automation.
  • Experience testing web applications and creating formal test documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills to track and document complex requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with Eclipse, JAWS, Jenkins, Selenium, and Git (GitLab, GitHub).
  • Experience with agile development methodologies, Scrum methodology, and test-driven development.
  • Scripting experience.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, and Point.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
