About the position

The Software Architect - Data Warehouse role focuses on providing expert recommendations and guidance for the development and enhancement of data marts. This position involves participating in data warehouse projects throughout their lifecycle, establishing best practices for data modeling, and maintaining comprehensive documentation for data warehouse and ETL processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide recommendations and guidance for new data marts and improve existing ones.
• Participate in data warehouse projects throughout the project lifecycle.
• Establish written best practices and procedures for data modeling design.
• Create and maintain up-to-date documentation for all supported DW/DM and ETL processes.
• Plan, create, modify, maintain, test, and implement code for source system extraction processes for the Data Warehouse.
• Develop and maintain BI dashboards and reports using R and Python.
• Develop and maintain Spotfire systems, including prediction models written in R and TERR.
• Automate source system data extraction processes and data loading into the Data Warehouse.
• Operationalize prediction models.
• Support the BI Data Warehouse using TIBCO Spotfire and IBI/Tibco Data Migrator.

Requirements

• Proven experience in data warehouse architecture and design.
• Strong knowledge of ETL processes and tools.
• Experience with BI tools, particularly TIBCO Spotfire.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python.
• Familiarity with data modeling best practices and standards.
• Experience in application development standards and project management methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with automation services in data extraction and loading processes.
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture standards and IT governance processes.
