About the position

The Software Architect, Enterprise Systems - SAP S/4HANA at Autodesk is a key individual contributor role focused on designing and architecting ERP solutions specifically for the Finance domain. The position requires a strong background in SAP S/4HANA and involves providing technical leadership, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring high-quality architecture designs that meet business requirements. The role emphasizes the importance of non-functional attributes such as performance, scalability, and security in solution implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership within the Organization by creating and reviewing high-quality architecture designs and technical solutions
  • Lead design and support technical implementations of features in the Finance Systems domain, including Order-to-Cash, Revenue Accounting, Procure-to-Pay, General Ledger, Tax and Treasury, and their integrations with other systems
  • Partner with business stakeholders and product managers to assess requirements and collaborate with engineers and fellow architects to lead technical solutions that meet requirements
  • Produce high-quality architecture design, collaborate across multiple teams to assess the impact of the design and resolve conflicts
  • Work on multiple projects without affecting the quality of deliverables
  • Participate in COO technical architect forum to drive forward technical design
  • Ensure solution implementations achieve desired non-functional attributes such as performance, optimization, scalability, security, and resiliency
  • Work towards improving technical solutions with future needs in mind
  • Collaborate with globally distributed teams
  • Contribute to and foster Autodesk cultural values

Requirements

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in SAP ECC or S/4HANA
  • 7+ years of experience implementing order management, billing/invoicing, accounts receivable, and sales taxes in SAP
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders
  • Proficient in Agile methodology

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in software, high-tech, or telecom industry
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and eCommerce platforms
  • 2+ years implementing revenue recognition systems such as RAR or Revpro
  • 3+ years implementing vendor management, purchase orders, vendor invoices, and accounts payables in SAP
  • Experience working with middleware technology such as AWS, SAP CPI/BTP
  • Knowledge of software automation tools
