About the position

Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Software Architect specializing in IBM Rational Tools to manage and support the company-wide Configuration Management System. This role involves collaborating with multiple stakeholders to enhance Configuration Management, Asset Management, and Requirements Management activities, while ensuring the development and maintenance of automated solutions and custom integrations with IBM products.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current automated solutions within the company-wide CM system on assigned project(s).
• Provide maintenance and development support, develop custom integrations with the IBM Rational tools using IBM Cloud Services.
• Develop mobile applications integrated with IBM products for specific tasks such as functional testing, performance testing, and security testing.
• Provide traceability reports, including interactive dashboards using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI.
• Program in server-side languages including Python and Java, as well as database languages like SQL.
• Build and support scalable APIs, services, and applications.
• Maintain and develop Web Forms for project teams' use such as for field auditing and data input.
• Work with Parsons' IT to ensure infrastructure supports CM system implementations.
• Mentor and train CM team to provide backup support for critical implementations.
• Provide CM implementation training for project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent.
• 7-12 years of experience as an IBM Rational Tool Specialist administering the IBM Rational Tool Suite with a focus on ClearQuest and ClearCase.
• 5-7 years of experience programming in Java and Python.
• Technical skills in IBM Rational ClearQuest, IBM Rational ClearCase, IBM Jazz, and other IBM Rational tools.
• Proficiency in server-side programming languages including Python, Java, and SQL.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Django, .NET, Spring, Rails, Phoenix, Node.js, React, TypeScript/JavaScript, AI Machine Learning, AWS (Serverless services).
• Professional development over Spring Boot 3.0 and experience with SOAP and REST.
• Web technologies: HTML, CSS, React.js, Spring MVC, Hibernate, D3.js, Node.js, Express, AJAX, SOAP, REST web services.
• Databases: Oracle SQL, MySQL, Mongo DB, AWS, Exploratory Data Analysis, Elastic Search, Agile methodologies.
• Frameworks & Tools: OpenCV, JUnit, Maven, Apache-Spark, Git VCS, Visual Studio, Eclipse, Matlab, Micro-Services.
