About the position

The Software Architect for IT Transformation at Stryker is responsible for designing, building, and testing the mobile Field Inventory Management platform, known as Event & Inventory Management (EIM). This role is critical for delivering end-to-end solutions that support Stryker's global field inventory needs, ensuring that technical documentation, configuration, and development are executed effectively. The position requires collaboration with various teams to optimize system performance and integrate business needs with technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an Event & Field Inventory Management solution to support Stryker's global field inventory needs.
• Develop system and technical documentation following Stryker's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework.
• Perform technical design, development, testing, and delivery of solutions for release cycles and new projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems process flow, performance, and technical efficiencies.
• Support the business by recommending holistic solutions that integrate existing technical standards with business needs.
• Optimize and tune systems performance based on recommendations.
• Collaborate with other IS teams and business teams to deliver effective business solutions.
• Partner with Business Analysts to understand system requirements and translate them into application solutions.
• Lead and mentor Solution Analysts, providing oversight and guidance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in software architecture or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience leading project teams.
• Experience designing and building custom mobile applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with React Native and JavaScript.
• Experience deploying custom Salesforce solutions leveraging Heroku.
• Azure DevOps (ADO) experience.
• Experience in database query design.
• Knowledge of global system rollouts including strategy, planning, vendor selection, and implementation planning.
• Familiarity with IS methodologies such as ITIL, SDLC, and Agile Development.
