About the position

The Software Architect at Slalom, LLC is a senior-level role focused on delivering innovative technology solutions to clients. This position involves acting as a technology partner and advisor, engaging in feature development, backend development, and managing cloud-native services in AWS. The architect will work closely with a skilled team to design and implement modern solutions while ensuring alignment with client requirements and architectural standards.

Responsibilities

• Feature development, enhancements, and code reviews following Slalom's product engineering methodology.
• Backend development including controller endpoints and writing services that connect to databases and transform data.
• Deploy and manage services in AWS, continuously learning modern cloud-native technologies.
• Collaborate with team members to design and develop state-of-the-art solutions and offerings.
• Define, implement, and execute processes to design and build modern cloud-native solutions in alignment with client architectural tenets.
• Establish contacts within business units to understand business activities, requirements, and solution strategies.

Requirements

• Significant experience in application development and implementation of modern cloud-native software products.
• Expertise in deploying large-scale, complex technology platforms in an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Proficiency in Java, Typescript, NodeJs, React, and frameworks like Spring, SpringBoot, Maven, Gradle, AWS CDK, REST, GraphQL, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with AWS Services including Neptune, DocumentDB, Lambda, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, S3, Fargate, EB, and API Gateway.
• Passion for learning new languages and technologies.
