About the position

The Senior Consultant or Principal Application Architect at Slalom Phoenix will serve as a technology partner and advisor to clients, focusing on delivering innovative technology solutions. This role involves collaborating with Slalom teams to evaluate new business opportunities and crafting best-fit technology solutions, while also engaging in feature development, backend development, and cloud-native service management.

Responsibilities

• Feature development, enhancements, and code reviews following Slalom's product engineering methodology.
• Backend development including controller endpoints and writing services that connect to databases and transform data.
• Deploy and manage services in AWS, continuously learning modern cloud-native technologies.
• Collaborate with Slalom team members to design and develop state-of-the-art solutions and offerings.
• Define, implement, and execute processes to design and build modern cloud-native solutions aligned with client architectural tenets.
• Establish contacts within business units to understand business activities, requirements, and solution strategies.

Requirements

• Significant experience in application development and implementation of modern cloud-native software products.
• Experience deploying large-scale, complex technology platforms in an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Expertise in Java, Typescript, NodeJs, React, and frameworks like Spring, SpringBoot, Maven, Gradle, AWS CDK, REST, GraphQL, and event-driven architecture.
• Familiarity with AWS Services including Neptune, DocumentDB, Lambda, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, S3, Fargate, EB, and API Gateway.
• Passion for learning new languages and technologies.
