About the position

The Software Architect Project Manager at Nissan will play a crucial role in coordinating software development for Infotainment and Connected systems. This position involves overseeing software safe launch activities, managing regional software strategies, and collaborating with global teams to ensure project milestones are met. The role requires strong leadership and problem-solving skills to navigate cross-functional issues and enhance software processes for safe launches.

Responsibilities

• Manage Software Safe Launch strategies to achieve short and long-term business objectives.
• Oversee software development and audit processes to meet project timing and requirements.
• Collaborate with Nissan Technical Center Japan (NTC), Nissan Mexico (NMEX), regional Cross Functional Testing (CFT) members, and suppliers to track progress and report results.
• Lead resolution of software-related cross-functional issues with other Research & Development departments and suppliers.
• Manage identification and definition of software projects, systems, functions, configurations, evaluations, and abnormal cases.
• Implement lessons learned and recurrence prevention activities in software processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline is required.
• 8+ years of professional-related experience, with 4+ years at an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) preferred.
• Extensive automotive software experience and general knowledge of audio/infotainment and connected car technologies.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, influence, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree is preferred.
• Proficiency in Japanese is a plus.
