About the position

As a Software Architect at Taylor Corporation, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the architecture of software systems, ensuring they are reliable, scalable, and high-performing. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, providing technical leadership, and implementing best practices in software design and development. The position offers the flexibility of being 100% remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop and communicate the overall software architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Design scalable, modular, and maintainable software systems.
• Lead and mentor a talented team of developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.
• Provide guidance on technical decisions, coding standards, and best practices.
• Continuously assess and optimize the performance of existing systems, identifying bottlenecks and proposing solutions.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, driving innovation by introducing new tools and methodologies.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for architectural decisions, design patterns, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment
• Proven experience as a Software Architect or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of software design principles, patterns, and best practices
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., C#, Javascript, Mobile platforms like VueJs, Angular, or React)
• Experience writing and maintaining unit tests
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
