About the position

As a Software Architect at SEON, you will lead software engineering projects across the product development organization and shape the technical architecture. This remote role focuses on collaborating with various teams to design robust solutions, improve system performance, and manage project implementations, ensuring timely delivery and effective troubleshooting of production issues.

Responsibilities

• Work out the technical scope of cross-team software projects based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with development teams to design robust and performant solutions.
• Analyze the performance of existing systems and propose improvements.
• Document design decisions in the form of Architecture Decision Records.
• Review the implementation of technical plans.
• Prepare deployment and migration plans and enhance existing deployment processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to push solutions to production efficiently.
• Work with the Product Management team to prioritize and deliver new developments.
• Collaborate with the SRE team to troubleshoot production issues and enhance observability.
• Manage the implementation of projects and coordinate between teams.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of modern web development technologies (Java with Spring preferred, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python).
• Experience with measuring and improving the performance of distributed systems.
• Strong understanding of web services and SaaS applications.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (preferably Amazon Web Services).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Experience with multiple database technologies (ClickHouse, Neo4J, Redis, Elasticsearch).
• Experience with modern DevOps tools (Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, ELK stack).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
