About the position

Slalom is seeking a Senior Consultant or Principal Application Architect to join our team in Phoenix. This role involves acting as a technology partner and advisor to clients, delivering innovative solutions and strategies to address complex business challenges. The position emphasizes collaboration with Slalom teams to evaluate new business opportunities and craft technology solutions that align with client needs.

Responsibilities

• Feature development, enhancements, and code reviews following Slalom's product engineering methodology.
• Backend development including controller endpoints and writing services that connect to databases, transform and restructure data, and implement business logic.
• Deploy and manage services in AWS while continuously learning modern cloud-native technologies and best practices.
• Collaborate with Slalom team members to design and develop state-of-the-art solutions and offerings.
• Define, implement, and execute processes to design and build modern cloud-native solutions in alignment with client architectural tenets.
• Establish contacts within business units to understand business activities, drivers, requirements, and solution strategies.

Requirements

• Significant breadth and depth in application development and implementation of modern cloud-native software products.
• Experience in deploying large-scale, complex technology platforms in an Agile or Scrum environment.
• Expertise in Java, Typescript, NodeJs, React, IaC, and frameworks such as Spring, SpringBoot, Maven, Gradle, AWS CDK, REST, Graphql, and Graph Databases.
• Familiarity with AWS Services including Neptune, DocumentDB, Lambda, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, S3, Fargate, EB, and API Gateway.
• A passion for learning new languages and technologies.
