About the position

As a Software Architect at Corteva Agriscience, you will be a key player in developing and integrating innovative cloud-based solutions that support the mission of helping farmers feed and fuel the world. This role involves leading an agile development team, mentoring others, and contributing to the technical and strategic success of software engineering while maintaining a focus on sustainability and creativity.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead on an agile development team consisting of software engineers, business analysts, product owners, and test automation engineers.
  • Analyze, design, and develop high-performance cloud-based software solutions for business partners.
  • Maintain and support existing applications within the team.
  • Create an environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and engineering leadership.
  • Mentor team members and promote best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Engage with other technology leaders and architects to build and maintain standards and shared solutions.
  • Continuously learn and stay informed about the latest software development industry trends.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience architecting and developing high-performance solutions.
  • Proven track record of delivering solutions on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Excellent software architecture design and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and business partners.
  • Experience with object-oriented languages, web development frameworks, databases, and cloud technologies.
  • Familiarity with coding and architecture design patterns, principles, and practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Background or interest in biology, chemistry, genetics, or agriculture.
  • Experience with Angular, Typescript, C#, .Net, Node, and RESTful API Services.
  • Experience with cloud CI/CD pipeline and current development tools.
  • Experience with developing high-performance, high-throughput data systems.
  • Experience with multiple agile development methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating with third-party vendors.
