About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Asset Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in overseeing Microsoft contracts and agreements, particularly Microsoft 365 (M365), and managing enterprise-level agreements and contracts. This role involves managing licensing and agreements, with a focus on M365 and perpetual software, under multiple enrollments. The successful candidate will work independently, possess strong communication skills, and be able to document processes effectively. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and optimizing software asset management processes. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure that software usage aligns with contractual obligations and that renewals and true-ups are managed efficiently. Your expertise in Microsoft licensing will be crucial in identifying charge-backs to accounts and ensuring that all software assets are accounted for and utilized effectively. The Software Asset Manager will also be expected to stay updated on the latest developments in software licensing and asset management, providing insights and recommendations to improve our processes. Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with different subsidiaries and cultures are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee Microsoft contracts and agreements, particularly Microsoft 365 (M365).
  • Manage enterprise-level agreements and contracts, including true-ups and renewals.
  • Document processes related to software asset management effectively.
  • Identify charge-backs to accounts using MS Excel.
  • Work independently to find information and manage software assets.
  • Communicate with different subsidiaries and cultures regarding software licensing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience overseeing Microsoft contracts/agreements (M365).
  • Proven experience managing enterprise-level agreements/contracts (true-ups/renewals).
  • Extremely proficient with MS Excel, with the ability to identify charge-backs to accounts.
  • Strong process knowledge and ability to document processes.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with M365 & perpetual software under multiple enrollments.
  • Strong MS licensing experience.
  • Ability to manage other vendor renewals as needed.
