About the position
The Software Business Analyst serves as a crucial liaison between clients, business stakeholders, and the development team at BlueGrace Logistics. This role focuses on implementing and supporting client requirements and integrations with the proprietary transportation management system, BlueShip. The analyst will manage stakeholder relationships, facilitate communication, and ensure that business needs are effectively translated into functional software designs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the liaison between stakeholders and the development team in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, maintenance, and development of software and software integrations.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, communications, and expectations.
- Act as the Single Point of Contact for the product development team.
- Consult with business area stakeholders to determine business needs.
- Combine knowledge of business requirements with system capabilities to create functional designs for new features.
- Create user stories and manage, prioritize, and refine the Product Backlog and requirements.
- Listen effectively and communicate with various organizational roles to identify operational and application requirements.
- Manage expectations between internal stakeholders and the customer's integration development team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and BA experience or 5 years minimum equivalent combined experience in business analysis, major computer system implementations, and change management.
- Experience with data analysis, including the ability to query, review, analyze, compare, and troubleshoot data.
- Experience working with ERP/CRM/TMS systems, with an understanding of ERP and CRM workflows.
- Experience examining business processes.
- Experience in product design or development.
- Experience working with Data Mapping.
- Experience in transportation, logistics, or 3PLs is a plus.
