About the position

The Google Workspace Engineer will be responsible for deploying, configuring, and managing Google Workspace solutions to support the needs of the business. This role focuses on technical implementation and maintenance of the Google Workspace environment, ensuring system security and performance while collaborating with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Google Workspace configurations and performance following best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Google Workspace products and services, documenting solutions in the knowledge base.
  • Deploy and configure Google Workspace applications including Gmail, Drive, Calendar, and Meet.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of system performance and audits of the security and compliance posture.

Requirements

  • Collaborative, problem-solving mentality and behavior
  • Strong knowledge of Google Workspace applications and related technologies
  • Experience managing objects and configuring services
  • Proficient in troubleshooting
  • Ability to administer policies, third-party apps, and user authentication
  • Experience creating reports to support business processes
  • 3+ years of related experience, including 1+ years managing a Google Cloud environment
  • Google Workspace certification (e.g., Google Workspace Administrator)

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong written communication skills for creating comprehensive documentation of troubleshooting resolutions, audit results, and user training.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation to streamline and automate routine tasks and workflows.
  • Knowledge of change management principles and practices to maximize user adoption.
  • Previous experience migrating to or from Google Workspace or a similar cloud-based productivity and collaboration platform.
