About the position
The Software Controls Engineer position involves researching, developing, designing, and testing software for HVAC equipment and related systems. This role includes providing troubleshooting and support services for software and control issues in both factory and field settings. The position is hybrid, requiring minimal office presence, and offers a competitive salary range.
Responsibilities
- Read, interpret, and comment on customer specifications, sequence of operations, and BMS lists.
- Provide Sales and Application Engineering team time estimates for software development projects.
- Read electrical schematics, unit layout drawings, SAP Bill of Materials, and component data sheets to gather necessary technical information for program inputs.
- Coordinate control and communication technical details with component vendors.
- Develop PLC software using Carel 1Tool or STone to control HVAC equipment in data center applications.
- Coordinate communication with customer building management systems.
- Participate in the international team of developers to create a common global software platform.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in software development for HVAC systems.
