The Software/Database Developer III position at Ishpi Information Technologies, Inc. is a remote role focused on providing innovative information technology solutions to the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Navy (DON). The primary objective of this role is to design, develop, engineer, and maintain systems that enhance organizational efficiency. The developer will be involved in various aspects of software development, including administrative services, applications integration management, corporate strategy planning, information assurance, and IT operations. The position requires a strong emphasis on new standards engineering, prototype installation, application development, data interoperability, system design, management, and maintenance, as well as data collection and analysis to support data translation, mediation, and mapping efforts. In this role, the developer will be responsible for creating new development solutions and re-engineering existing ones to improve automated functionality across the command. This includes code implementation and documentation to support all software development actions, ensuring interoperability within low code platforms such as Appian and ServiceNow. The developer will also participate in design discussions, code reviews, and maintain unit tests for all functionalities developed. A critical aspect of the job is to review code and data for security vulnerabilities and adhere to safety standards while assisting in building databases based on approved designs and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or have a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience. They should have at least five years of experience in software development technologies, translating application requirements into functional software solutions, and utilizing Agile methodologies throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC). Familiarity with low code environments, particularly Appian and ServiceNow, is essential, along with strong problem-solving, design, communication, and presentation skills. Additionally, candidates must have or be able to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification within four months of employment and must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining a DoD government security clearance.
