About the position

The Software/Database Developer III position at Ishpi Information Technologies, Inc. involves designing, developing, engineering, and maintaining systems to enhance organizational efficiency for the Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Navy (DON). The role focuses on creating new development solutions and re-engineering existing ones, ensuring interoperability in low code platforms such as Appian and ServiceNow.

Responsibilities

• Create new development solutions and re-engineer existing solutions to improve automated functionality.
• Implement code and document all software development actions.
• Ensure interoperability in Appian and ServiceNow low code platforms.
• Participate in design discussions and code reviews.
• Develop and maintain unit tests for all coded functionalities.
• Review code and data for security vulnerabilities and maintain safety standards.
• Assist in building the database based on approved design and industry best practices.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline, or a minimum of 12 years of related experience.
• Five years of experience in software development technologies.
• Experience translating application requirements into functional software solutions.
• Experience in Agile methodology for the software development life cycle (SDLC).
• Proficiency in standard scripting languages and object-oriented programming languages, including Java, SQL, and HTML.
• Strong problem-solving, design, communication, and presentation skills.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification or ability to obtain within 4 months.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior Navy related experience.
• Experience in creating process models based on complex workflows.
• Experience debugging Appian objects.
• Familiarity with Appian End User Reporting and AppEzy.
