The Software Dev Engineer II position at Belcan involves acting as the first level support and development for production software application issues related to merchandising applications. Responsibilities

• Act as first level support for production software application issues.
• Develop monitoring solutions for merchandising applications.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in internally developed code.
• Implement fixes for software applications using React, JavaScript, Python, and Java.
• Perform SQL queries to support application functionality.
• Improve systems that gather metrics on features.
• Update, track, and resolve technical challenges.
• Work alongside development on Client Corporate and Divisional Software projects.
• Update and enhance current software applications.
• Automate support processes and document systems.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in software development.
• Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
• Experience with coding in React, JavaScript, Python, or Java.
• Familiarity with SQL and database management.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience as a full stack developer.
• Knowledge of API development.
• Familiarity with AWS Lambda, CloudFront, and Aurora RDS.
• Experience with UNIX/LINUX systems.
• Exposure to AWS cloud development.
