About the position

Fortinet is seeking a Software Development QA Engineer to join our dynamic QA team, which is responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of multiple innovative products, including FortiCSP, FGaaS, and FortiHawkEye. FortiCSP is an advanced endpoint security solution tailored for operational technology (OT) environments, while FGaaS represents our cloud-based FortiGate as a service project, designed to deliver FortiGate services to our customers seamlessly. Additionally, FortiHawkEye serves as a Digital Experience Monitor cloud service, focusing on application layer service monitoring and integration with our FortiGate Secure SD-WAN to optimize application layer service metrics for enhanced SD-WAN routing. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting functional, stress, and performance testing on our products. You will write comprehensive test checklists, specifications, and bug reports, and monitor and troubleshoot services to ensure optimal performance. Collaboration with developers is key, as you will work closely with them to design and execute effective test cases that meet our high standards for quality and reliability. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining the integrity and performance of our cutting-edge security solutions, ultimately impacting the experience of our 660,000+ customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for function, stressing and performance testing on FortiCSP, FGaaS and FortiHawkEye products
  • Write test checklist, test specifications, bug reports, etc.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot services
  • Work closely with developers to design and execute test cases

Requirements

  • Experience in Shell/Python scripting for automated testing
  • Knowledge in network security products or technologies such as NGFW, Endpoint Security, Web Application Firewall
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, network applications, and protocol troubleshooting
  • Good knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes (K8S), and cloud applications
  • Experience in network product testing or validation
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science/Engineering or related fields
