About the position

The Software/DevSecOps Architect position at Semper Valens Solutions is a critical role that involves providing functional and empirical analysis related to the testing of software systems. The successful candidate will be stationed full-time at the APG facility in Belcamp, MD, and will be required to hold a Top Secret/SCI clearance. In this role, the Software Engineer (SWE) will interact closely with system users to translate their requirements into comprehensive systems, hardware, and software specifications. This interaction is vital for ensuring that the developed solutions meet user needs effectively. Additionally, the SWE will participate in the development of test strategies, which are essential for validating the functionality and performance of the software systems being developed. The position also entails solving engineering problems or managing the resolution of such issues within the assigned functional area. This aspect of the role requires a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work collaboratively with other engineering professionals to devise effective solutions. The SWE will be expected to leverage their technical expertise and experience to contribute to the overall success of the projects undertaken by Semper Valens Solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide functional and empirical analysis related to the testing of software systems.
  • Interact with system users to translate their requirements into systems, hardware, and software requirements and design.
  • Participate in the development of test strategies.
  • Solve engineering problems or manage the solution of engineering problems in the functional area to which assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or other Engineering or Technical discipline is required.
  • Three (3) years' experience within the last 5 years in a relevant field.
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
