With a suite of security solutions that include encryption and key management, granular access controls, flexible data masking, comprehensive activity monitoring, and sophisticated auditing capabilities, Oracle Data Safe stands out as a cloud service built on top of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This service offers database security posture management for all Oracle Databases, whether they are on-premises or in the cloud. As a Software Developer 4 specializing in backend development, you will play a crucial role in assessing security, detecting configuration and user drift, finding and masking sensitive data, and collecting audit data for analysis, alerting, and reporting. In this position, you will be part of a dedicated team of security professionals focused on building a state-of-the-art security cloud solution aimed at protecting sensitive data in mission-critical databases. The role will involve applying generative AI technologies to tackle challenging security problems, ensuring that our solutions remain robust and effective against evolving threats. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the development, design, and debugging of software applications or operating systems, contributing to the evolution of standard practices and procedures within the software engineering division.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop software for tasks associated with developing, designing, and debugging software applications or operating systems.
• Assess security and detect configuration and user drift in Oracle Databases.
• Find and mask sensitive data to ensure compliance and security.
• Collect audit data for analysis, alerting, and reporting purposes.
• Implement in-database SQL Firewall policy management to detect malicious activities and SQL injection attacks.
• Collaborate with a team of security professionals to build a state-of-the-art security cloud solution.
• Apply generative AI technologies to solve challenging security problems.

Requirements

• 6 - 10 years of experience in building scalable enterprise software.
• Proficient in large systems design.
• Proficient in REST model design.
• Programming experience in Java and Python.
• Working knowledge in relational databases and SQL.
• Understanding of security concepts.
• Knowledge of Oracle database is a plus.
• Excellent team player with a positive attitude.
• Good communication skills.
