About the position

The Principal Software Development Engineer position at Oracle Cloud Infrastructure involves designing, developing, and automating tools and frameworks for cloud solutions. This role requires collaboration with developers, architects, and product management to lead the development of automation software, ensuring high-quality deliverables in a complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks.
• Lead and design automation tools and frameworks for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and product management to define software requirements and specifications.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks and tools using Java and other technologies.
• Debug and troubleshoot automation failures in integrated environments.
• Utilize Jira, Git, and Bitbucket for version control and project management.

Requirements

• 5-6 years of hands-on experience in Automation/Tools development with QA expertise.
• Proficiency in object-oriented design and methodologies, particularly with Java programming.
• Experience in building Microservices and using REST APIs.
• Knowledge in developing Tools/Automation Frameworks and using Selenium APIs.
• Experience working in cloud-based services (e.g., SaaS, PaaS).
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills in automation failures.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with IDE tools like Eclipse and IntelliJ for development.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
