About the position

AnaVation is seeking a Software Developer to create and code software solutions that support mission-focused activities. The role involves developing data architectures, conducting software prototyping, testing software capabilities, and documenting software processes. The developer will work in an agile environment, collaborating with a team of software developers and technical leads to enhance the technical capabilities of the customer mission.

Responsibilities

• Develop and code software solutions to support mission-focused activities.
• Create data architectures, ensuring software assurance and security.
• Conduct rapid software prototyping to demonstrate and evaluate technologies.
• Evaluate software systems through performance, security, and other assessments.
• Test software capabilities using novel testing and analysis techniques.
• Document software with a focus on architectures, user stories, and interface definitions.
• Practice agile software development methods and participate in team activities.
• Support software development infrastructure and assist in configuring computing systems.
• Interface with the technical community to understand challenges and develop solutions.
• Contribute to design sessions and share insights across Government organizations.

Requirements

• Minimum of five years' experience in software development at the user and kernel level.
• Five years of intensive software development experience in languages such as C/C++ or Java.
• Knowledge of languages like Rust, Perl, Python, Ruby, and JavaScript.
• Working knowledge of modern computing paradigms such as NoSQL, cloud computing, and virtualization.
• Familiarity with software development in Linux/Windows/Unix/Web environments.
• Experience with software development tools including IDEs, version control systems, and bug tracking systems.
• Demonstrated problem-solving ability and experience working on a software development team.
