About the position

The Software Developer, Applications role at CHEP involves designing and developing complex software applications and algorithms aimed at enhancing supply chain efficiencies. Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex software applications and algorithms.
• Research and build software solutions with high quality and good performance.
• Develop solutions that can support data from different sources on a very large scale to monitor and control supply chains.
• Develop solutions to process massive datasets from IoT devices and computer vision systems.
• Collaborate with the data science team to create new algorithms.
• Research and evaluate various algorithm options.
• Develop and maintain components for storage, processing, and user interfaces for supply chain applications.
• Build integration with various enterprise applications and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Physics, Math, or similar.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Go (or other comparable languages).
• Experience with large-scale data processing systems, preferably Spark.
• Good understanding of databases and other storage systems.
• Experience building microservices or serverless applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Algorithm development and scaling experience.
• Knowledge of supply chain management.
• Experience developing and scaling Spark-based data processing algorithms.
• Familiarity with UI development and web development frameworks such as Angular.
• Development experience with public cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
