About the position

This position is for an experienced C/C++ developer who will be involved in designing, developing, and debugging high-performance, multi-threaded, and distributed C and C++ code as part of the Exadata project at Oracle. The role is critical as Exadata serves as the backbone for Oracle's database services in both public and private cloud environments, supporting a wide range of applications and services.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and debug high-performance, multi-threaded C/C++ code for the Exadata project.
• Define and evolve standard practices and procedures within the software engineering division.
• Suggest and justify product directions within approved frameworks.
• Define responsibilities for new projects and specify, design, and develop software according to those specifications.
• Provide consultative software guidance and strategic direction for software applications or operating systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience in C and C++ programming languages.
• Strong understanding of multi-threaded and distributed systems.
• Experience with high-performance computing and database systems.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with Oracle Exadata and its architecture.
• Experience in cloud computing environments.
• Knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
