About the position

The Software Developer Architect position at Oracle America focuses on the role of a Cloud Native Automation Architect. This highly technical and hands-on role involves automating the provisioning and lifecycle management of cloud infrastructure and applications. The architect will be responsible for system design, implementation, and collaboration with product managers and engineering teams to align technical solutions with business needs. Responsibilities

• Automate the provisioning and lifecycle management of cloud infrastructure and applications using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Argo, and Jenkins.
• Own the system design and implementation, guiding engineering efforts while ensuring alignment with overall objectives.
• Build proof of concepts to inform design choices and recommend technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers and development leads to understand business needs and requirements.
• Contribute to shaping the engineering roadmap by working with product and engineering management and stakeholders.
• Develop best practices, share knowledge, and mentor team members.
• Collaborate in an Agile environment to foster innovative solutions and rapid development cycles.

Requirements

• 12+ years of relevant experience in software development and architecture.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience delivering solutions in enterprise cloud infrastructure.
• Experience building and operating highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable production services using Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
• Solid understanding of containers and related technologies.
• Significant experience with Linux, Go, Python, and Bash.
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation.
• Knowledge of integration technologies (APIs and CLIs).
• Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
• Experience architecting and designing container frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud computing and public cloud platforms like OCI, AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
