About the position

The Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) Networking team is seeking passionate software development engineers to enhance the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) capabilities. This role involves building secure, scalable, and resilient software-defined networks that meet the growing demands of cloud adoption. Engineers will engage in the entire software development lifecycle, from feature definition to testing, using a variety of modern programming languages and tools.

Responsibilities

• Build software that scales to meet increasing customer requirements.
• Develop and run multi-tenant services at a massive scale.
• Apply creative and critical problem-solving skills to complex challenges.
• Ensure high-quality software development without compromising customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Nice-to-haves

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle.
• Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
