About the position

The Software Developer (Backend - Golang) position at Armada involves designing, building, and maintaining scalable backend services using cloud-native technologies. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions that support the company's mission of providing advanced technology infrastructure in remote areas. The developer will focus on writing efficient code, optimizing applications, and ensuring high performance and reliability of backend services.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code using Go (Golang).
  • Build and manage scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services and APIs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, product, DevOps) to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring high availability and responsiveness.
  • Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems.
  • Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and deploy applications in containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Maintain code documentation and architecture design records.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of backend development experience with a strong focus on Golang.
  • Solid understanding of Go's paradigms, idioms, and best practices.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and/or gRPC for building services.
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
  • Strong knowledge of concurrency in Go, and an understanding of Go routines and channels.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure) and working in distributed cloud-native environments.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (Git).
  • Familiarity with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and performance tuning.
