About the position

The Software Developer/Engineer role at Leidos involves supporting a large enterprise IT program for an Intelligence Community client. This hybrid development/engineering position focuses on replacing an existing end-of-life solution with innovative technologies. The role requires collaboration within a team to design, develop, test, integrate, and deploy solutions that meet critical user requirements, utilizing full lifecycle IT activities.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, testing, integrating, and deploying solutions for critical requirements.
  • Developing interfaces and APIs to COTS products with a focus on cloud and big data technologies.
  • Inputting and interfacing with configuration management and data repositories such as GIT and GITHUB.
  • Developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and managing client-specific access interfaces for credential management.
  • Integrating products from multiple COTS vendors in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Maintaining a rigorous versioning system for training and validation.
  • Establishing a DevOps environment and utilizing tools such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Chef, and Terraform.
  • Testing software using unit testing and automated test products like Angular and Selenium.
  • Preparing and delivering program and user-level documentation.
  • Supporting the development of security documentation for software environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 12+ years of experience or Master's degree with 10+ years of experience (additional experience may substitute for a degree).
  • Demonstrated experience with tools used with cloud services.
  • Experience establishing stateless implementations from architectures in cloud service providers.
  • Experience with configuration management and data repositories.
  • Experience with COTS products in Linux and Windows environments.
  • Experience using DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Chef, and Terraform.
  • Experience using React.
  • Experience with CentOS and Debian.
  • Experience with Postgres.
