About the position

FlexTrade Systems is seeking a passionate Software Developer to join their team in Great Neck, New York. The role involves building next-generation Trading and Market Data systems using modern development practices and technologies. The ideal candidate will work in a collaborative environment, focusing on high-performance and low-latency software development, while adhering to agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Integrate with Exchange/3rd Party feed handler APIs.
• Implement new features or performance enhancements in FlexTrade's Market Data APIs.
• Exposure to high-performance and low-latency software development.
• Deploy, Support and Manage central data feeds: manage FlexTrade's central feeds.
• Exchange Reporting & Audits.
• Take ownership of specific modules within the system and work on bug fixes and enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science (or related field). 2-5 years of related work experience.
• Proficient in C++ (14, 17, 20) and other programming languages (Python, Java, Go).
• Working knowledge of Linux C++ development environment: vim, gdb, make, git, valgrind, etc.
• Experience working in Linux Environments with a good command of shell, awk, sed, cron, netstat, top, postgress (SQL).
• Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas, problems, and solutions.
• Motivation and determination to learn and grow.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in Financial Services or related fields.
• Experience with Linux networking.
