Powder River Industries, LLC is seeking a Software Developer to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN. This full-time position involves providing technical services across the entire system development life cycle (SDLC). As a prime contractor, we are responsible for complete end-to-end system management for our customers' mission systems, which includes managing a data center, integrated logistics support, continuity of operations (COOP), and disaster recovery. As a subcontractor, we offer a range of services including DevSecOps, software development, network administration, systems analysis, database administration, storage engineering, hardware engineering, and Tier 1 to Tier 3 support in traditional data center environments, as well as cloud and hybrid cloud environments. Our current cloud operations utilize platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, creating, maintaining, and writing or coding new computer applications, software, or specialized utility programs. You will build web applications and services using technologies such as Python, Django, JavaScript, Vue.js, Postgres, and AWS. Additionally, you will diagnose and resolve technical problems, build unit tests, and automate processes to ensure the quality of your features. Maintaining existing code and writing code that is easily maintainable through documentation, good architecture, and automated testing will be key aspects of your responsibilities. You will also define, discuss, and collaborate with the team on the architecture of the platform, actively participate in interviewing and evaluating new team members, and provide vision and direction for software development best practices and methodologies.
