About the position

The Software Developer position at Apogee requires an individual with active TS/SCI clearance and Fullscope Polygraph clearance. The role involves working within a 7-person developer team that adheres to Lean Agile methodologies, focusing on software development and integration, particularly with Angular, Java, and MySQL. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading roles and will be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying software systems while collaborating with various teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in Lean Agile scrums, sprints, and grooming sessions.
  • Perform Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) product integration and development efforts.
  • Ensure tasks are completed on schedule and consult for problem resolution and task scheduling.
  • Work in partnership with an integrated team of staff and contractors.
  • Understand cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
  • Coordinate with security, operations, engineering, testing, and other teams for technical support.
  • Create, manage, and update JIRA tickets.
  • Design, develop, and modify software systems.
  • Document and track vendor software roadmaps for updates.
  • Unit test software and perform code reviews.

Requirements

  • Experience developing detailed design and associated deliverables.
  • Proficiency in translating customer and system requirements into design.
  • Demonstrated experience designing system interfaces.
  • Experience developing Single Page Applications using HTML5, CSS3, and Angular 2+.
  • Hands-on experience developing RESTful web services using Java 8+ or Spring Framework 4+.
  • Experience with non-relational database systems such as DynamoDB.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with Internet and Web related protocols and technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience developing JUnit and Jasmine tests.
  • Experience with testing platforms such as Jest or Karma.
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Git, Jenkins, or Nexus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Recent experience with the Sponsor's Lean Agile methodology.
  • Experience using ErDoS for reporting sprint MVI burn-up and top line charts.
  • Experience with CFS, FSS, TagIt, KnoMAD, and TagIt digest.
