About the position

Parsons is seeking a computer scientist/software engineer to support a variety of programming efforts in a multi-disciplinary software development role. The position involves working with intelligent and diverse teams to develop software solutions for applications including image and video processing, hardware/software integration, and embedded systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and the ability to learn new technologies quickly.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for a variety of applications and platforms.
• Interface with hardware, including imaging sensors and video processing.
• Write code for image processing and video editing.
• Create hardware and software simulations with graphical user interfaces.
• Develop programs for hardware control and data communication.
• Work on embedded platforms, including Embedded Linux and ARM architectures.
• Implement data acquisition, reduction, and analysis tools.
• Develop network communications code and applications.

Requirements

• Experience developing software for various applications and platforms.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming languages.
• Experience with Python and Java.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Secret level clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using Visual Studio.
• Experience developing for and operating in Linux environments.
• Experience with embedded systems, including ARM-based systems.
• Familiarity with UI frameworks such as Qt or WPF.
• Experience with OpenCV and MATLAB.
• Knowledge of AI development, including Machine Learning and Convolutional Neural Networks.
